Whole Nation : ウィキペディア英語版 | Am Shalem
Am Shalem ((ヘブライ語:עם שלם), "Whole Nation") is an Israeli political party. The party was established on 14 April 2011 by Knesset member Haim Amsalem, five months after he was expelled from Shas, and took its name from the Hebrew translation of his surname.〔(Amsalem launches alternative to Shas ) The Jerusalem Post, 15 April 2011〕 The party intends to run for the 19th Knesset, on a secular-religious unity platform. Its main goals are to bring the secular and religious sectors together, separating religion from politics but not from the state, encouraging the haredi sector to join the workforce, campaigning against communal segregation in haredi communities, and supporting IDF conversions, even those without a commitment to Halakha. Shortly after its formation, the party announced that it would launch "Operation Ten Thousand", to get 10,000 new members to join the movement. It is chaired by Moshe Tzafarti.〔(Shas rebel MK founds new movement ) Ynetnews, 14 November 2011〕 ==2013 Election Results== Am Shalem did not meet the electoral threshold for inclusion in the 19th Knesset on January 22, 2013, picking up zero seats.〔(2013 Elections Results ) Haaretz, Retrieved January 24, 2013〕
